Entrance and Hall
A grand oak door opens to the Hallway which has Plank and Munton panelling.
Dining Room
This has old, broad planked pine flooring. The remains of the Plague
door can just be seen. A servant’s bell, which is in fine working order
helps set the scene.
The tables are set with white linen tablecloths and
napkins; we feel this is a nice touch in a world of fast food and mass
cooking. We have used good quality crockery and the latest ‘O’ wine
glasses from Riedel for fruit juice.
Office
If you wish to use the internet, then
you are able to use our laptop in the office. We are considering
installing a wireless system, but so far the walls of the house are too
thick to ensure connection.
Lounge
A good sized room with beams and a large inglenook fireplace with an
ornate log burner is the perfect setting on a winter’s evening. Pull
out the Scrabble or Dominoes; relax.
Sit, unwind with a welcome cup of tea and homemade cake or a glass of wine; this is what Spears Cross is all about.
