We do not offer an evening meal unless you have booked all four rooms for Spears Cross. Having an exclusivity means we can all agree the times you would like to dine and have breakfast. Our evening menu can be tailored to your needs; we use local produce and will cook especially for you. We can offer wines to complement the dishes and the whole stay can be more memorable.

In general we prefer to offer good quality accommodation and there are a number of local restaurants or pubs in the village. We are always happy to book a table for you.

Stags Head Inn. 10 seconds walk; good quality food and excellent local beer. You need to book.

Luttrell Arms Hotel. 7 minutes walk. Excellent bar food and you do not need to book. The restaurant is very good and Paul, the chef, likes to use local produce. Sunday lunch is very popular. Booking is essential.

Reeves Restaurant, 5 minutes walk. Justin is a highly competent chef and his menu is always an eclectic and exciting read. You need to book.

Cobblestones. 5 minutes walk. This restaurant is only open on a Saturday evening. Richard produces good quality food, using local ingredients. The menu is concise and offers really good value.

Yarn Market Hotel. 7 minutes walk. Simple, uncomplicated menu and good value.
