Five Star, Silver Award from Visit Britain is the official grading, but Spears Cross offers a great deal more. Finalist in the Excellence Awards 2006/7 from South West Tourism, Winner of the Best B&B of the Year 2007/8 from Visit Exmoor, Silver Award (the first to apply for accreditation on the whole of Exmoor) from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and a Gold Award from Taste of the West  (one of only two B&Bs in Somerset to gain this accolade). All this has been achieved in a little more than two years of buying the property.

Spears Cross dates from 1460 and enjoys many period features. The four en-suite rooms are of a generous size and one is a suite. All rooms have premium quality Reylon Super King Size beds, Flat Screen TV and wonderful sound from the Bose Music Systems. Our Green Award and Taste of the West Gold Award means food is high on the agenda. We pride ourselves on sourcing produce from local producers as well as buying organic food where possible. A traditional linen tabled dining room together with good quality china and German glassware adds just a little more style and elegance.
